Irene Baran

Irene Baran has been loving the CE business for 25 years. In 1985, she started at Monster Cable, then a very small specialty accessories company, and helped grow it into a significant Consumer Electronics brand. She served as COO there for 16 years. She married John Jahraus and had two kids along the way: Michael is now 11 and Kate is 8. She joined Palo Alto, California-based Speck Products as CEO in 2006, and is now enjoying building a business accessorizing the portable lifestyle. Her family likes the outdoors and spends time skiing and hiking together.
